Proposals for a new goal song, because, that fucking crowd chant.
Any one of those, you could take the karaoke music for it and use it as a goal song.
Because, you know, that fucking crowd chant song.

I love the first song, and it's what I have in my head when I see the Wild score.
The second one is the best Prince song not written or performed by Prince.
The third would be ironic, because of all the arenas that use Chelsea Dagger.

Strange, RE:car Suppose I'd start by replacing the entire battery cable, not just re-doing the splice. Do both if both were cut. Probably shouldn't cost you too much.

Okay, random, but I think this is the place for random things non-hockey related.
I got a link to read the hilarious reviews for this TV: Samsung UN85S9 85-Inch 4K Ultra HD 120Hz 3D Smart LED TV
On page four of the reviews was one, Jay Ferguson, who was writing about drone delivery and spending time in a cell now that the feds have caught onto him or some such nonsense. I have to wonder... is this OUR Jay Ferguson?

So I watched the game at Joe Senser's in Bloomington last night. There's apparently some sort of pub crawl going down tonight or tomorrow and there were a couple guys there selling tickets for it. For some reason, they set them up on the opposite side of the bar from the door at a low table. Maybe trying to get the people buying the tickets to stop for a drink? Anyway, I could see the host stand from where I was sitting and about every 2nd person who came in was looking for the ticket sellers. The poor guys at the host stand probably can't lift their arms higher than their waists today because they were doing so much pointing/directing. At one point there was literally a line of 6 people waiting at the host stand, all of them eventually pointed to the ticket guys one by one.

/photo/1 it would be cool to see sled hockey during the intermission instead of some goofy interactive game /promo for a corporate sponsor.
tired of going to games and getting squished from both sides, at least the row-mates didn't spill their beer on my feet.
and how did the fsn chicks get to be the LPH announcers. #grumble.

New goal song should be "Immigrant Song"
Penny has a ear infection. Poor baby doesn't like the ointment stuff we have to put in to clear it up. If she could talk I'm sure she would be making major contributions to a swear jar (if we had one of those).

Speaking of hated songs...
How could that mind numbing turd have been created by Sir Paul McCartney!? Does he wake up in a cold sweat thinking it was a nightmare only to realize it truly is out there with his name on it?

KG - Question about Roku
Last night, we got into the weeds, and it seems you require Comcast to watch "Project Runway" on the Roku/Hulu/etc.
Some older episodes are on Hulu Plus, but not the latest seasons.
Have you found a way around that?

Can you watch full episodes? Do you have Comcast for your cable provider? I don't think my wife goes for any of the "online exclusive" stuff.
But if we have to keep Comcast for internet only, I'm ok with that. Just getting rid of the TV portion could be huge savings.

Penny's ear infection is mostly cleared up. So she's a happier puppy dog. Going to have to start to dig her poo trails in the yard if we keep getting these shots of snow.

Mini-rant. Frustrated with basketball coach. Yes, my daughter can be a ball hog and basketball is a team sport. However, if no one is open and she has an open look from 4-8 feet out she's going to take the shot (as she should). She's not going to pass it to your daughter so she can run 3 steps because she has no clue what travelling is and you haven't instilled it in her that she can't do that! Also, since they play 1-1 defense with no zone or double-teams (marginally called, ask my daughter about last game), if she can beat her person one on one than she should drive the lane and take the shot instead of setting up the offense so they can either not catch her pass, run 3 steps (see above) or try to pass it inside where there is a taller opponent waiting to catch the ball.

mini-rant: It's my eldest's 9th birthday today. Apparently someone sent their kid to school today with some bubonic plague kind of virus, and it's aggressive enough that a outbreak has already started moving through the school. My wife just called as she was running out the door (we live about a par 5 from the school) to pick up our newly-minted 9-year-old, who just puked in her classroom.
A) that's really shitty of the patient zero's parents to do in general, but also to their own kid. B) my poor kid now has to spend her birthday with an apparently very ugly stomach virus.

'Tis the season though... I went to talk to my boss yesterday and he was hacking and coughing and sniffling the whole 10 minutes I was in his office. Go home boss dude! I went straight to the restroom and for all intents and porpoises scrubbed for surgery.

So, Comcast.
Why are you ditching it? Is it simply price (costs more than you're willing to pay for what you get)? Is it a service issue (cable out, something else)? Is it that you don't really watch any tv (other than the Wild games)?
I ask as I'm moving and the complex has a deal with comcast where I could get the digital starter package (includes FSN) for $40/month. Sounds like a good deal...

Check to see what happens to that $40/month after 6 and 12 months. Also, I'm pretty sure that $40 won't include if you want to have an HD receiver (they tacked on an additional $10/month for that).
I got the same "new customer" deal, and the TV portion of the bill has doubled. It went up about $10 after 6 months, and another $20 or so after 12 months. Plus $13.50/month in taxes and fees. All in all, my "digital starter pack" is costing $92/month.
For that price, and the amount of live TV I watch... I too am thinking about cutting the Comcast cable.

Well supposedly it's some deal that the apartment complex worked out with comcast. From what I understand, anyone who signs a lease after Jan 1, if they want TV other than over the air, it'll be comcast digital starter at least. They're doing that to eliminate satellite dishes. I had planned on going with Centurylink DSL and Netflix, hulu, etc. and if I wanted local news see what I could get over the air (used to having only that). Apartment is on NE side of building and SW of Shoreview, so... I need to ask more questions about the comcast deal... or I should probably just save my money for better things like beer, pizza, etc. and instead of watching TV get off my butt and get some exercise.

Comcast: TV with an HD receiver/DVR plus Comcast internet runs me $130 a month. That includes the package I need to see FSN, because, you know, if you like sports, fuckyoupayme.
For the time being, we're dumping comcast TV in favor of Roku/Chromecast. We'll keep Comcast internet (I think about 60/month) for the time being until we can figure out what to do with my wife's shows (Project Runway apparently requires Comcast internet, because if you like Project Runway, fuckyoupayme).
With Hulu Plus and Netflix streaming, and Hockeystreams, those combined will be about $30 a month. Net savings should be about 40 a month. If/when we switch to CenturyLink, we should get another $30 or so in savings per month.

Just talked to a coworker. He uses Amazon Prime. If I can find my wife's show on Amazon Prime, I'm switching to that with DSL and FuckYouComcast (and probably skip Hulu Plus). Still not sure on Netflix streaming. We already have Netflix, so adding streaming might not be such a bad idea.

We only use Netflix streaming. When a DVD sat unwatched on our shelf for 6 months, we realized it was time to cancel that part.
